Hi all,

I'm in this debate whether to add prices during beta version. What's your choice and why?

Yes. If you have something that creates value then you should be able to charge for it even if its not perfect.

  2. 1

Definitely. You should always charge for something that is making others' lives easier or better. If your product was not doing that why build it in the first place?

  3. 1

Yes, because pricing should be an explicit part of your beta testing.

  4. 1

Generally yes but depends on the app and how useful/complete the beta is.

Even if you decide not to add prices during the beta make it clear that this is a paid for product once it exists beta, to void feelings of bait and switch from users.

Yes, add pricing pages or on your signup page. You may get fewer signup, but you will get more user who likely buying your product

I echo @jsfour. As long as there is upfront transparency that it is both Beta but will deliver value, seems like a great idea as the app is polished and the market fit is fine tuned.
