It's special moment for every creator when your product start growing. That what's happened last time with my website - Owwly. After successful release on PH (#1 Product of the day) and on BetaList (product still displayed in Trending Startups section) our traffic increased 2030% !

This is INSANE 🤩

Special thanks for IH community - you rock! Your ideas and feedback was crucial when I asked for your opinions. So happy to be a part of so transparent and open-minded group of people!

I would like to create special post on Medium about my process and steps which I did during couple last days but if you planning successful rollout on PH and you don't know how - I am so happy to help. Help like others helped me with my startup.

Thanks @toddad - we couldn't expect such a huge traffic. But now we are even more determined to build something meaningful for users. Based on data, we know that investing in Owwly is a right step :)

Great news, would love to hear the practical side of what has and hasn't worked.

What quickly comes to my mind:

      What works

      • Building roadmaps based on HMW (for instance How might we increase average time on the site ? ect. )
      • Focusing on user problems (lack of space to promote products with compelling User Experience)
      • Moderating content on the website (cover images added only by me)

      What’s not:

      • Chasing the competition, blindly copy+paste their content
      • Focusing on features rather than user problems (once again, super important!)
      • Don’t ask users about a feedback

By the way, do you think kanochart.com would be an interesting tool for your audience?

@LaundroMat yep, I think that coud be helpful for some users on our site :) You can contact us by email to talk about details.

Oo, very interested in that last bit. Why did asking feedback not work?

        1. 1

What I was trying to say is that user feedback is crucial during product lifecycle ;) Once you know your audience and what they struggle with, it's easier to develop your tool.
