Hi,
I've got a landing page where the aim is to get people to sign up for a monthly subscription.
I've currently received 70ish users via ads. Expecting to hit 100 by the end of tomorrow. My current bounce rate is 55%. 4.6% registering an account. 0% finishing the final step of paying monthly.
If I hit 100 users and haven't got any registers I will need to make a change. I think I've got too much text on my landing page so I have some ideas for what the change can be.
The question is, should I A/B test the change? I'm leaning towards not doing that since I think 50 users a day isn't enough users to get statistical significance, or it would take a really long time.
I feel like it is enough at this point to look at the existing data of not getting a purchase out of a 100 people, and the fact that my landing page has too much text on it, to just go ahead and make the change and see what happens for the next 100 users. Again the reason being that I don't feel like I have enough traffic to A/B test, and that in the early stage looking at data + improving my landing pages clear weak-points is sufficient .
Am I right or wrong?
Another way I could phrase the question is, when do you A/B test vs when do you go on gut, reasoning and deduction that's backed on conclusions from some data that is wouldn't have been large enough for an a/b test.
Thanks
