Hey everyone !
Alright, here it is. I published my landing at https://kumamodel.com !
There are still things that could be improved but done is better than perfect. I'd love to hear about your thoughts, especially on those points :
- Do you see any big issues ?
- Is the service clear and the value appealing ?
- Do you have any feedbacks about how to market a productized service ? (like directly stating the price vs giving a quote after the first contact)
For the ones interested, made with Webflow and hosted on Netlify. It's the first time I'm not on Wordpress, it's been bumpy but so far no regrets
Your webpage is quite lengthy, there's a lot of text to crunch through and the headlines are very clickbaity but they kinda work.
A lot of the other text is confusing: I don't understand much about what you actually DO...only after clicking on the case-study I saw that there is a report about some insights you gathered...but wait is it gathered by you or me? I made a video explaining my confusion
You need to show more about what you're actually selling, show me the output - maybe I am not in the right the target audience....
Wow thanks for taking the time, man !
Having the live reaction on video helped a lot. As for the length, I'm a bit torn between the 2 schools of thought : long form sales pages and bullet points landing. I tried to satisfy both by having the copy that'll satisfy engaged leads in a structure easily skimmable.
I'll definitely go back and work more on the copy. The "how it works" section will probably be higher and I'll make the benefits clearer.
As for the output, what would you want to see beyond the case study ? I'll mainly target product managers, so they'll probably know the concepts and workflows described here but if I can make things clearer it's always a win.
I always like to open a website and see something like
"We fixed Y, so you don't have to do X anymore"
then show exactly how X is out of their life and Y is shown in some form.
Whether it's in short sentences, images, videos or something else - whatever medium is effective for you and your audience!
Yeah that makes sense, it's a good way to put it. I'll keep that in mind !
Hi Adrien, I think the analytics and resulting data you want to provide people around which features to focus on when approaching product development is really useful!
So the concept and service is great. My feedback on your website is as follows:
Maybe even get people to participate in one ‘live’ survey on your website - ask a few questions that you want feedback on that would guide your own product development of Kuma and then show them collated results once they’ve submitted their answers. Could be a nice way to role model how Kuma adds value and capture feedback from site visitors.
Hope this was helpful.
May
Thanks, May. I appreciate that !
I'll definitely rework the big chunks of text to better highlight key elements. How the survey is created and administered is a recurring interrogation it seems, I'll be more clear on the website.
Your ideas are quite interesting. Since it'll add some development time, I will probably stick with a basic v1 to put it in front of prospects as soon as possible. I noted them for later tho !
Wonderful design overall @Memos
I'm also improving my site, keen to hear your feedback :)
Thanks for your feedback! I'm on the indiehacker productized group and a few boostraping / freelance groups but I didn't find communities around this kind of business model. If you know interesting ones, please share =)
My plan is to spend at least the first month doing only cold email to get as close as possible to my target audience. I'll be able to gather a maximum of information on how clients see the service and adapt quickly.
Having your site on Notion is quite smart. I see more of them lately and it seems perfect for your needs right now! Really, the only comment I'd have is to maybe show the product description on the cards. Right now it's a wall of logo without much information about what makes them interesting.
I don't know if you want to push it but you could go heavier in the promotion of your newsletter. I don't really have many experiences in it but having the newsletter in the center of your offering seems quite fitting for your niche. Maybe have a page with your previous publications or standardize the model of the email to structure the value (like trends.vc)... Idk, food for thoughts =)
Hey @Memos - just saw this! Thank you so much for your feedback! It would help my version 2.0 a lot! Appreciate your insights! Can I also grab your comment as a testimonial?
Sure =)
