A BrainTool for personal productivity

I just discovered this group and want to introduce BrainTool. It's a Topic Manager that lives inside your browser and helps you organize and categorize all of your online stuff.

In the run up to my subscription release I'm running a promotion giving away coupons for a lifetime subscription. Check it out if you want to up your browser game (https://braintool.org).

Hey, just tried your extension after seeing the note from @Soft_Re - you addon looks like a very extensive bookmark management tool. I really liked the way you alerted me on what to expect when using it for the first time (it will open a side panel to the left, resize the browser window, etc). That is really nice!

The things that probably threw me off:

    1. no way to read those first-run instructions again if I close it accidentally
    2. the sample project and categories you have pre-built is very exhaustive, looks very crowded and intimidating on first use
    3. the change in addon icon action after first use is not intuitive
    4. the icon action after first run load a "Choose Topic" UI which is not clear on what I will get as a result of choosing topic. a bit confusing to understand what the addon is really about
    5. after installing you redirect to your addon page which is too texty. kinda got lost what to read there

That said, you seem to have built a whole lot of features (though hidden behind menus and on-hover) that might be useful to many. Also, what really helped me was the video you shared above. I feel that video should be the one to auto-load upon installing the addon.

BTW, please do consider publishing your extension to Microsoft Edge Addons. You can reach out to Microsoft Edge Extensions Developer Support ([email protected]) if you need any assistance during the publishing process!

Many thanks Varad. I really appreciate the feedback and totally agree that I need to further simplify the onboarding process.
BTW I listed BrainTool on the Edge store a couple of weeks back:

I'd love to get a review or upvote over there!
        Regard,
        Tony

Just tonight I was checking out both Roam and Obsidian. The learning curve and UI were two things that turned me off. I am definitely interested in your coupon. Great job!! Thanks for bringing this to the world : )
