n 2024, we at Unicorns Club made over 10,000 matches between startups and investors. And in late December, we quietly launched a new feature: startups can now request an intro with an investor directly.
No announcements—only a button quietly added to profiles. In just a couple of weeks, 20 startups have already used the feature. On their behalf, we reached out to investors and got our first agreements for intros.

Have you ever wished investors would respond to you like this?
The most interesting part? This feature was born accidentally. We originally planned to launch a full-blown messenger but ran out of time. Then we thought: why do we even need a messenger? To recreate the spam problem of LinkedIn? No, thanks.
🦄 Now, our goal is not just to help startups get a reply but to make sure it leads to either a call with an investor or constructive feedback to help them move forward.
When something works better than you expect, it’s amazing.
But when it helps others move forward, that’s the feeling every creator, builder, and entrepreneur lives for. ✨
How to use this feature:
1. Create a startup profile on Unicorns Club and fill it out.
2. Wait a few days and watch the automatching magic—investors will start following your profile.
3. Review the list of investors following you. Who do you want to connect with? Request an intro by clicking the message button on their profile.
4. Once we receive your request, we’ll review the details and start communication with the investor on your behalf.
Unicorns Club has introduced a new feature that allows startups to request direct introductions with investors, streamlining the process of connecting with potential backers. After creating a startup profile and waiting for the platform’s automatching system to identify relevant investors, users can review the investors following their profile and request an intro by simply clicking a message button on their profile. Once the request is submitted, Unicorns Club facilitates communication with the investor on behalf of the startup, ensuring meaningful interactions and increasing the likelihood of securing a call or constructive feedback. This feature prevents spam and focuses on building genuine connections to help startups move forward.
