A client wants me to provide bank details instead of using my Stripe Checkout form. What’s the best way for a SaaS to handle this?
Obviously, bigger businesses don't want to use credit cards where it can be avoided, but is there a way around this? This is for an annual subscription where I fully expect them to adjust the quantity on their plan every couple months, and I've been expecting to prorate additional units till the next annual billing. But if I gave them my bank details, I'd have no power to auto-charge them in my app, right?
Login to your Stripe and create a customer manually. From there you’ll be able to send them an invoice where they can enter their bank details. Then in your app you’ll be able to do just about everything you’d be able to do if they were signed up via CC.
The biggest thing to watch out for is Pre-Auth most banks refuse this. So you’ll get denied every time you try to run a pre-auth.
