    This is a strong point — “community as a business” is something a lot of founders underestimate until they actually see recurring revenue from it. The SaaS Discord example especially shows how value perception matters more than raw member count.

    Curious how you think moderation changes once a community crosses the 10k+ stage?

    Really agree with this — communities are often the first real distribution channel for early-stage products. The Facebook group example is a good reminder that engagement + relevance can turn into a serious income stream if handled well.

    It's getting hard to create new groups for specific niches. It's like everything is taken :(

      But remember, is not only about creating, it takes a lot of effort to build a successful one.

      I agree and it's more like finding domain names. But don't limit yourself to FB for example: do reddit, linkedin groups, even indieHackers ! Whatever there is a place to create "rooms", "groups" or "communities" just create one.
