Today I got an interesting partnership offer for DiscountHub.
Until now, DiscountHub has mostly focused on product deals, promo codes, store promotions and partner offers from online stores and makers.
But now a UK airport parking comparison company reached out and asked if we’d be interested in showing airport parking deals to our users.
That made me think about the bigger direction of the product.
Should DiscountHub stay focused only on online shopping deals?
Or should it expand into other “save money” categories too, like:
• airport parking
• travel deals
• subscriptions
• software offers
• local services
• event or ticket discounts
The risk is clear: if we add too many unrelated categories, the product becomes messy.
But the opportunity is also interesting: people don’t only want to save money on products. They also want to save on services they already need.
My current thinking is to test this carefully, maybe as a separate “Travel deals” or “Partner offers” section first, instead of mixing it directly into the main product deals feed.
What would you do?
Would you keep DiscountHub focused only on product deals, or would you slowly expand into service-based discounts too? Website: https://discounthub.uz
It depends on the direction in which you want to grow.
I think it's worth adding this, but first we need to add a separate filter for such suggestions.
