A curated list of free services

Hi everyone,

I build a list of free services or services with a generous free tier.
I'm going to extend this overtime. So feel free to suggest more services or apps I can add.

I'm working on https://undersend.com - Intercom/customer.io alternative of automated email campaigns. We have a free tier for apps with up to 200 users.

I love your intro video. Especially the rocket launch xD
What tool have you used to make this?

      1. 1

Thanks ezzato. We have used a couple of tools to get that result:

        • Quick time player to record screen
        • Figma to create screens with text
        • Camtasia to create a whole video

If you have more questions drop me a line :)

We're working on https://hero.app, which is completely free currently, and will always have an amazing free tier!

Fantastic tool! Salespeople love having a streamlined view of their opportunities. Bulk field updates are fantastic! Huge props for building this.

A few issues I have noticed are...

When creating an Opportunity, Hero prompts some required fields that are not necessary for our main Salesforce record type. (Would be worth filtering by Record Type).

Also, I cannot seem to make changes to the Opportunity Hygiene UI. I want to filter out Closed Won/Lost and add fields, but nothing is updating on the UI.

Besides these 2 things, everything works beautifully.

p.s It would be neat to have a Google Search bar on the 'Browsing' view

        Thanks for the feedback, @Dazman56!

Re the required fields, did you run into an error or was it just that these fields existed in your default view? Hero should mirror your SFDC instance and only throw an error if you're trying to submit without required fields. That said, there are some default fields, but you can customize these however you like by hitting the edit button.

Re the oppty hygiene UI, we're working on a huge home screen redesign and we've dropped some functionality from the home screen cards in the meantime. The new home screen should available by the end of the week!

      Thanks.
Is this a salesforce addon/plugin or a standalone app?
I had trouble to understand what this product is about.

      1. 1

It connects to Salesforce and helps you speed up your workflows with hotkeys, spreadsheets, autofill, etc etc. Basically Superhuman for Salesforce.

  3. 2

My workflow service offers a generous free forever plan: 10 users, 10 workflows, unlimited tasks/processes, unlimited file attachments.

    https://www.pneumatic.app

    1. 1

      Wow, that is very generous.

  4. 2

You definitly should add Netlify, small Pages can be hosted there forever for Free :)

  5. 2

Hey love the idea. Would be great to filter on product type. Can see this being useful to compare alternatives.

Added Shotstack to it. Keen to see how your service develops :)

    1. 1

Exactly what I thought! Would be nice to implement filters

    2. 1

      Thanks.
Do you think a weekly newsletter makes sense.
Would you be interested in getting a list of free tools to use?

      1. 1

Yeah potentially. Something like product hunt would be useful where you get a ranked list. And filtered, for those products you are looking to replace with a potentially free/cheaper one.

        1. 1

Is there an example of a tool you want to replace with a free version?

          1. 1

Nothing specific at this point. But an example could be something like Zendesk vs Freshdesk.

    Hi @ezzato,

Sorry, I saw this late. I have:

    Gig'o'Books at https://www.gigobooks.com

It's entry level accounting targeted at solo operators ie. consultants, freelancers, gig workers etc. The web edition is free.

    Thanks!

Very interesting, I was actually thinking of making a website such as this±

  8. 1

This is a great idea. I would add filter on categories and I would divide in subcategories (Slack -> Chat, Asana/Trello -> Task Management).
I just submitted my startup Flowoid, the free plan allows to run 1,000 operations per month on an unlimited number of workflows.

    1. 1

      Thanks.
How is Flowoid going? It feels like there are more competitors to Zapier and IFFF comming.

      1. 1

We are doing great, we launched a few weeks ago and the response has been amazing.
Flowoid was born mainly from the frustration on the limitations on those services. One of our main differences is that when we support an integration, we support 100% of the APIs, not just the 3 or 4 "more used" tasks.

Simple and useful site. Love to starting web development from small projects. Is your site code open source ?

    1. 1

Also added — https://resmush.it — The most used but not well known free Image optimization API with also plugins for multiple platforms including WordPress. No need to pay for those paid plugins and API's for image optimization.

    2. 1

      BTW I just added — https://statically.io/wordpress/ — A free WordPress CDN :)

  10. 1

I'm looking for free alternatives first, but I'm also ready to use paid solutions if they solve my problems.

    1. 1

Do you have any recent examples?
I could image to have a section recommending free alternatives to big names.

  11. 1

one more thing, A lot of tools are paid but you can get for free through either taking any membership or something else, you can highlighted that.

One more suggestions to the platform-
Search bar should be use to search the product rather than adding the product. Because as the general we have mind set to search for the things rather then adding the things by searching.

    1. 1

      Marked.

Once the list becomes big, search and grouping is essential.

  12. 1

Looks like a great app. I also added one more resource to it :)

  13. 1

Great idea but, please make the spacing smaller. On my screen which is 24 inches I could see only 3 products.

This looks awesome. I'll likely use Panelbear when I ship my website.

    2. 2

That looks great. I'll probably implement this soon.

That is absolutely great to know. I use NextJS for all my personal development and side projects and have nearly convinced a project team in my work to use it for a small customer system.

You're right, it's absolutely great! Even better that Panelbear integrates well, great to know thank you so much. I'll implement it tonight into my personal site https://alanmontgomery.co.uk !

Brilliant stuff thank you! I'm starting a review series on my YouTube soon reviewing cool products and frameworks, I'll probably include this as it seems awesome.

How do I track events in your system? Can I see breakdown by type of device/screen/country? Is it possible to create funnels?
