Hey ,
Launching AllPub on Product Hunt soon and wanted to do a full pre-launch breakdown for other makers.
What it is: Cross-publishing automation. Write in Notion → publish to Medium, Write in Devto → publish to Hashnode, Write in Hashnode → publish to DevTo and so on, etc., with one click.
Solo founder journey:
- Built in <3 months (nights + weekends)
- Still working full-time
- Used GitHub Copilot heavily
- First real SaaS product
metrics:
- 0 paying customers (not monetized yet—want validation first)
Tech stack:
- Next.js 14
- Supabase (PostgreSQL)
- Clerk (auth)
- Vercel hosting
- GitHub Copilot for development
Pre-launch prep:
- [x] Product stable and live
- [x] Demo video (Loom)
- [x] Social posts scheduled
- [x] Launch day timeline mapped
Biggest lessons:
1. Building is 30%, marketing is 70%
2. AI tools speed you up, but don't replace domain knowledge
3. Solving your own problem = built-in passion
4. Pre-launch hype matters more than I thought
My biggest fear: Launching to crickets and getting zero traction.
Question for experienced launchers: What's the #1 thing you'd do differently on your next PH launch?
