Does anyone have any advice on how to launch a viral contest? There are quite a few contest services out there. This is a big opportunity and I don't want to blow it.
You could tease the contest on social media. Create a teaser video, or simply a pic, mentioning the celeb, which is definitely something that will make people engage with your contest and share it with others.
I would see if you can host the contest on your website so you can pick up some nice links and social shares to your site.
Maybe reach out to journalists (the legit ones know how to keep a secret) in a field and provide them a embargoed press release. Then they all go live more or less together, creating the buzz you need amond the people who follow the industry. All the best.
