A listing photo shouldn’t need Photoshop for one box or one wrong number

A listing photo can be perfectly usable and still get held up by something small: moving boxes by the wall, a cable across the floor, a crowded kitchen counter, or a unit number that is no longer correct.

Neither needs a full redesign. They just need one controlled edit.

For property cleanup, the useful version of AI is actually pretty boring. Remove the temporary mess and leave the property alone. Walls, floors, windows, doors, built-in cabinets, fixtures, room shape, perspective, and lighting should still look like the place someone will visit.

Picture an agent photographing an apartment between tenants. A few boxes and personal items are still in the bedroom. Or an Airbnb host has a good kitchen photo except for a cluttered counter and a visible trash bag. The goal is not to invent a nicer room. It is to clean up the photo without misrepresenting the property.

The annoying part is that the next problem can be even smaller.

Maybe the unit number changed from 204 to 208. Maybe a sale sign has an old price, or a poster still shows last year’s date. Rebuilding the whole sign in a design tool feels absurd when only one number is wrong.

With Edit Number, you enter the replacement and say what it belongs to, such as “the unit number on the door” or “the price on the sign.” ClearCrowds then tries to match the surrounding surface, type style, perspective, shadow, and lighting. It works best when the original number is readable and the replacement fits roughly the same space.

One boundary matters here: Edit Number is for ordinary, non-sensitive visual content. It is not for IDs, legal records, invoices, certificates, medical records, grades, or financial documents.

These are the two workflows I ended up building for photos that are almost ready and need one clear correction before publishing:

I’m curious how other founders, agents, hosts, and property managers handle this. Which “tiny” photo fix eats more time than it should?
