It's a little hack that's kept a daily run going for the past two months. It wasn't always like that. But I reminded myself of a rule I'd come up with when I last had the habit of running: step outside the door.
You want to make sure that you get your daily run in? No matter your schedule, how you feel that particular day, make sure you get your gear on and step outside the door. Need to walk during the run? No problem. But don't excuse yourself from stepping outside the door.
May apply to: learning to code (start with one command), reading a book (pick it up even if you only read one page), releasing a product (one iteration), etc.
Totally agree Mario. Whenever I'm stuck on a coding problem, going on a short walk outside always helps. I usually solve it very quickly doing this vs staring at my screen
I do this on the daily and it's amazing. I don't step outside, but I wake up at 4 AM and have a daily 15 minute routine (with strength training on Wednesdays).
It gets my blood pumping and productive right away.
