SaaS,
It's complicated I know.
But... I think I love you.
It was hard to say it at first. After all, standard services! The pay cheque was so large. The chunks of revenue. I could take holidays off the back of a few days work.

When people told us to focus on a SaaS model, I hated the idea. Why would I trade juicy cheques from consulting gigs for trickles of revenue? Why would any sane person do that?

And it was so hard at first.
I was naïve and thought that if I could sell £20-30K at a time in services, selling £9 a month would be a cinch.
But wow.
People are careful with those CVC codes eh?

CAC:LTV was a cruel cruel master for a long time.
It hurts sometimes, I've got to be honest.
When a user churns, SaaS, I'm just not sure I can take the rejection. After all, I worked so hard to make it work for them. Retention? More like Retension.
AMIRIGHT?

But then... just yesterday morning, I remembered why I love you.
Bleary eyed, I roll over in bed, pick up my phone and Stripe tells me:
A user who trialled yesterday subscribed to your top annual plan.

SaaS, I want you to know, if you're willing to work at this, so am I.
Aww...you made us cringe :)
