A New Bootstrapping Strategy - Launching Wavyr

First time posting here on Indie Hackers, but here goes:

It's been a long journey to get to this point, but today I launched Wavyr Black, our new internal app Development as a Service membership. See wavyr.com for details.

When I first came up with the idea for Wavyr during my previous Startup, I knew I wanted to create something that would make internal software development more accessible, more enjoyable, and more efficient. I wanted to bring back the magic of coding and empower teams to build software at lightning speed.

This was just a vision. It's been a challenging road, but after 12 months of hard work, I've finally reached $1000 MRR and I’m just getting started. I want take this project to the next level, that's why I came up with Wavyr Black.

Wavyr Black is a unique angle for a startup. I hope it can be way for us to further bootstrap for 12 months and give us the freedom to build world-class UX design, whilst increasing value for our users. It is going to be a 12-month strategy that allows us to build magical software, without the pressure VC money.

How it works: Our members will have access to on-demand app building with Apollo, our innovative low-code platform. And they'll have direct access to the engineers behind Wavyr who will build their internal apps on-demand, using our latest products like Apollo.

I'm incredibly proud of the work that has been done, and I hope that I can get some great feedback from the Indie Hacker community <3.

So question that I'm still figuring out:

    • I've been approached by several VCs. I however do think that we can make it work for just 12 more months. What is the IH verdict on this?
    • Customer acquisition: right now I'm mostly selling to people in my network. Anybody good ideas about a digital equivalent?

Interesting stuff @thijsv. Did you think about content marketing behind a free paid wall. Just to collect emails from potential leads. e.g: use GumRoad to sell templates or design assets.

Interesting concept. Although what do you think about pricing? Seems a bit high, or what's the catch.
