Hello everyone! I am thinking about an idea for a new type of wearable technology. I have noticed that the wearables today do not seamlessly fit into our lives nor do they do enough with the data collected. For example, Apple Watches take the place of a normal watch and need to be charged everyday, which gives incentives to individuals to take off the watch and not have their data collected.
I am thinking of creating a stylish and thin wearable that has similar features (heart rate, sleep tracking, distance traveled, gps, body temp, etc) to the Apple Watch and Fitbits but in a minimalist way with no LCD screen and looks almost just like a normal bracelet. This is possible, with the current proof being that there are rings that can do this now, but with 3 day battery life. The data could also be streamlined to an algo and physicians to detect for abnormalities to ensure the user is healthy.
The goal would be to create a comfortable, almost unnoticeable smart bracelet that has a very long battery life with continuous tracking of the individuals activity. The user interface would be strictly through the phone via an application and empower individual to sleep more, be more active and live healthier lives with the encouragement of data and quantifying their life.
What are your thoughts on this idea? I really appreciate the feedback!
