A new way to buy running shoes

So I am a runner. I run ~3000km a year. Considering a 600km life span for a pair of running shoes I buy at least 5 pairs of running shoes per year. That's just road running shoes, add another couple for trail running and we end up with 7 pairs of shoes bought per year.

A typical runner keeps buying the same brand/model overtime, so once you know the right size you just need to get them w/o searching/trying/testing as you'd need to do for your first pair.

When you know exactly what you need to buy the buying experience boils down to finding the cheapest price online and place the order. What looks so simple translates instead to spending quite some time, every time, searching on the online specialised shops you usually use plus the shopping aggregators for your preferred brand/model and size.

This flow requires the buyer to do all the work. What I have in mind instead allows the buyer to just define what they want to buy and at what price adding that offer to a list where sellers can see them and decide to accept those that satisfy their minimum price. You can think of this as a copy of the orders book for stocks where buy and sell orders for a specific security or financial instrument are organised by price level.

As a buyer I just select the brand/model/size of shoes I want and define a price I'm willing to pay.
As a seller I just accept the offers for brand/model/size of shoes I have in my inventory and for which the offered price is high enough for me.
