A "No-strings-attached" Cofounder Site

tldr; A low-cost, low-commitment Fiverrrrrr for Startup Wannabes

I want some things/projects/ideas built/validated/$$$$/etc.

And I want someone -- a partner -- to help me do it.

But the whole idea of finding an actual partner is...insane.

I don't have the energy. Patience. Tolerance. Any of it.

Crawl around the world on all fours?

No problem.

Find a partner?

Be realistic.

I think I could build a site/service that allows people to sign up to be a funder/founder, and/or a service provider.

The Funders pay $1 USD/hr, maybe up to a max of $5 USD/hr, or set project-based fees (e.g. $10 for a 'Hello, world' Vue.js app at mydomain.com), and pay for any all hosting/API/licensing fees -- to get their project built.

The main advantage for the Funders is they don't have to be rich-ish++ to get an app built. There is a 99.9999% chance their idea/project/POC will fail, so this model makes it possible for them to get their idea built. They didn't have to be born to professional parents to get their idea built.

The service provider partners -- who would typically but not always be techies -- are interested in doing some side stuff (side hustle, resume/portfolio building, learning, career switching, making contacts, getting a reference, learning business, etc.). They get to do their side work and know that they're walking away with something if things go sideways or nowhere at all -- which will happen 99.999999% of the time.

The kicker is -- both parties, in theory, are interested in a potential partnership going forward. If things work.

And they won't. That is, the project won't. Nor probably the second or third projects. But the fourth?

This is a different mindset from, say, Upwork or Fiverrrrr or Mechanical Turk, or whatever else, where it's like....horrible everything. Straight, 100% transactional.

Does it end up being the same thing as those services, or worse?

Possibly!

Or possibly not.

I've wanted in on both sides of this equation in the past -- maybe even right now -- but I don't think it can happen at the moment -- I don't think that matchmaking service exists.

I'm a bit intrigued by CofoundersLab, for instance, but I'm really not interested in partner. Until I am. I either just want something built, or I want to build it, please spare me the small talk -- I'm sure you're not an axe murderer, and even if you are, you're only paying for my coffee and Little Debbie snack cakes, so I'm not really endorsing axe murdering.

For now I just want my gd demo. And I'm tired of spending my gd retirement-in-not-America-country-with-healthcare money to get it done.

Can this idea work?
