A note-app for connected ideas

Hey Indiehackers!

The "Second Brain"-wave is swelling, and I really like the idea of having a second brain, but the existing tools never lived up to the way I use them - namely to come up with new ideas and solutions to problems.
In Evernote notes are often lost, especially if you don’t take the time to properly organize them. As for Roam, I really like the connected-thought idea, but I did't like the bullet point layout, and that I had to specify the backlinking myself.

So I built unstumped, a note-app for generating good ideas, that let you build upon your knowledge and ideas. It’s based on free text with a real editor (no markdown).

  • It connects your thoughts, notes and ideas, so as you are typing you will see other related ideas or notes you have written before. This way you will build upon all your earlier ideas and notes.
  • Like Roam you can link to any other note with "[[", and see all notes where is referenced.
  • It is unstructured and structured: organize everything in spaces and tags. But you can also just start typing out a new idea, and see all your related ideas pop up below.
  • Connect your ideas explicitly by linking them inline, and view the backlinks in each idea.
  • For maximal serendipity - order everything randomized

PS. I'm putting this in the "Work in public" bucket (and work in progress), so any feedback is very much appreciated 🙏

PPS. If you want to import from another app other than Evernote, let me know, and I'll make an import function for it
