A notional modern SaaS app architecture

That's a cool post! I totally agree that for MVPs, having distributed or too complicated architecture is an overkill and it distracts from the main goal: getting something out there and start receiving feedback.

My favorite programming principle (which also applies to architectures) is KISS - keep it simple stupid. Designing for scalability is wasted effort if you end up with no users.
