A platform for "Design tokens"
A designer sign up and connect his project from Figma with my platform, and my platform create a JSON file with all design properties like font color, size , type, or brand color. This is a universal file and can be translated to style file in any platform, (for web css and for Android xml ). Then the local project just have to pull the file from my platform. A team would pay for this? I hope you can give me a honest feedback. Thanks !!
Hi Mateo. Design platforms have code export functionality, but is raw code. And you are trying to create variables, and I think the only option to do that is by hand. Figma have availability to create color tokens with variables, but when you export is gone. But for sizes I think none of the platforms does that. So, my opinion: that could be something good to have, but I think people won't pay for that.
lol Thank you Jalmeida haha . I was just looking about the topic "design tokens" Salesforce is expert in this . But I want to improve in this topic. the goal is update the style of a website, ios app and android app in a very easy way , just the developer only need to pull the updates. But I don't know how to do a business with this. I think you are right.
Sounds useful. Doesn't Figma (and other design software like sketch, invision, etc.) already have code functionality?
I think so, I just want to improve this. would you pay for a service like this?
