Hey there,
Many times I have tried to seek mentorship on career paths and studies through several social networks. I believe the experience some of these platforms, such as Linkedin, have to offer on the topic is awfull.
I've been considering the idea of creating a platform where people are matched based on their past experience and can then offer or seek advice from someone that has been through a similar situation in the past.
What do you guys think about this mentorship concept? Have you ever had the same pains as me trying to connect with people you seek advice from?
Feel free to answer the following questionnaire about how you use social networks such as LinkedIn and your expectations with them. (<2 min to fill in :D)

Filled out the form. I suggest essentially LinkedIn+Quora, that's what I've thought of in the past. Maybe ask the users if they want to do in-person mentoring vs. electronic. Maybe also categories like "education - what courses should I take" and "leadership - how should I do an employee review".
Hope that helps,

true! I was thinking it more like young professionals would be willing to give advice to people following a similar path they followed.
Clearly, giving a worthy reward to mentors is cumbersome.
