A promotional gif for landing page
Hello!
After many months of developing, I will begin realising my product (I don't have it live yet).
While building my landing page I thought It would be nice to have a promotional video / gif.
Do you have a gif on your landing page that explains your product / service? If so, how did you make it?
I particularly like https://tailwindui.com, even though it just seems to be a static image being repeated. What do you think of something like this?

I ended up recording my product using screencastify.com. I then downloaded the video as a .webm file and included it on my website.

Its beautiful, but we didn't pay anyone for it, we just recorded a demo in quicktime and exported it.
How did you manage to make the gif so small in size?
we used ffmpeg.org, but its still not fully optimized, we plan to make compress it further.

Ya, I wonder how people make those beautiful screen demo too. I recently made one for a test page but it's simply from Quicktime screen recording.
I tried recording my own video and converting it to a gif as well. I think it works pretty well for now.
