A quick update on Ledgerino — and looking for early Android beta testers

A couple of weeks ago I shared how I started building Ledgerino to get clarity over my personal finances, without linking any bank accounts and without unnecessary complexity. The response and feedback gave me a lot to think about.

One thing became very clear while I kept using it daily: a responsive web app was not enough. Even a well-designed responsive UI still felt a bit “heavy”. 

So I made a decision that I knew would slow me down in the short term but improve the product long term: I rebuilt Ledgerino as a proper mobile app.

That decision turned out to be harder than expected, but after a few intense weeks, I finally reached a milestone I’m proud of:

Ledgerino is now in beta on Android 🎉

The biggest feature I’m excited about is how transactions are added. Instead of filling forms, the app lets you add transactions using natural language inside a chat.

For example:

• “Paid 12.50 for lunch”

• “Salary bonus 2,000”

• “Netflix subscription 15.99”

Leveraging AI, the app parses the message, extracts the amount, category, and direction, and adds it to your ledger. It feels much closer to how I naturally think about expenses, and it dramatically lowers the friction of keeping things up to date.

So I’m doing exactly that.
