A service for pre-launch Indie releases - for Press & Indies to connect

Hi All. Being an Indie Developer, I often find it hard and time consuming to reach out to Press before launching a product (for me, normally a mobile App).

This seems to be a common problem, anyone else feel this?

I am considering creating a platform that connects Press to Indie Developers. It would let Indie's upload their product info, press kit, videos, other material, and their launch date.

Then, Press can browse this list in an easy way and find info to help them write about the product.

I see this is a double win. The Press would have a central place to visit with upcoming products, with reliable information, and they don't have to deal with begging letters and half baked info. Indie Dev's get a simple platform with advice and stats on interest and reach.

Think Product Hunt, but for pre-launch. Or Newswire, but for Press Kits.

What do you think? Good idea/Bad idea, or does this exist somewhere but I just don't know about it!??
