A simplified approach to the complicated hiring process

The purpose of this post is to get some help from the community on a new startup I'm launching. I'm the founder of Blue Saturn, (https://www.bluesaturn.io) which is a pivot from a staffing service I ran for a few years helping customers hire engineers.

I realize that the hiring process on both sides is just way too complex and there's a desperate need to streamline that.

We're a few weeks away from launching an MVP, but I'd like to really get feedback and thoughts beforehand as way to adjust accordingly while we're early.

Here's a TL;DR:

  • Building a new way to search for jobs and be matched to qualified opportunities.
  • Engineers currently spend hours per week on interviews, coding assignments, and technical rounds...while either working a full-time job or managing the stress of looking for one. We'd like to change that.
  • Our two main goals are to: 1) simplify the verification process through a project based verifier in lieu of technical assessments and 2) create a 1-click scheduler to easily schedule interviews upon matches.
  • Engineers will verify once, and use that verification to apply to multiple jobs without the hassle of a new application for each new job post.

We're soon going to onboard several companies open to trying this out in hopes of achieving quicker hiring cycles.

What are your thoughts on this approach to alleviating the hiring process?
