A user contacted me because they were struggling with a basic but repeated problem. They had folders full of files from different projects, all named randomly. Renaming a few files was manageable, but doing it again and again for large folders became frustrating. The built-in file manager felt slow, and command-line tools were too complicated for their daily work. Upload-based tools didn’t feel safe because the files were private.
To help, I showed them a simple way to rename files directly in the browser, without installing anything or uploading files anywhere. They could select a folder, preview the changes, and rename everything in one go. It removed the extra steps and let them focus back on their work.
The user didn’t care about advanced features — they just wanted the task done quickly and safely. Solving that small problem ended up saving them a lot of time.
