A super boring SaaS with $9,747 in monthly recurring revenue.

I love boring SaaS! I've been working on tons of Chrome extensions that move files from one place to another and there is a lot of room for design creativity. How to show the conversion of the file? Synchronization with other apps and more hard-to-explain tech words that are not familiar to a random user? Man, I love these riddles :D

Its surprising how many companies exist, whose sole purpose is converting data from one standard to another, from one excel sheet structure to another. And big old companies are paying millions for that. I have a friend that works in a company like that. They have a few hundred employees (working on support on their software), their only purpose is converting bank statements. They bring in millions of dollars every month. It's a very boring SaaS, and not very hard to implement. The only issue (which is not a small one in any case) is the domain knowledge bar of entry is very big, and you have to follow local governments and banks compliance.

I had a similar thought the other day about blood lab results. The labs send you a PDF or direct you to their own webpage to see the data. I wanted to export it into csv so I could load it into a spreadsheet tracker or a health app. Not sure it exists!! But sounds like similar tech

I was just experiencing this same problem in the last week. The one thing I notice is there's not a lot of detail around compliance, certifications, etc. Anything touching PII (and financial to boot) should be spending some serious money to reach that level of trust. I personally wouldn't upload docs like that to some random SaaS. Still, happy for their success.

I absolutely love boring functional products that just do what it's supposed to.
So much less maintenance after it's up and running as well!
