A Tale of Two Landing Pages

Hello! As a developer by trade, history shows that I tend to build things before exploring feedback. With your help this time, I'd like to try a different approach! Take a look at these two landing pages and the following discussion points to help me decide on which idea to pursue (or neither). Hashing this out with you wonderful people in the IH community would be awesome, so thanks in advance for your time!

This will be broken up into two parts: The Landing Pages and the Questions.

The Landing Pages

Sluicebox - https://sluicebox.app
This app would help people trading stocks track their trades and hone in on their strategies. The MVP would be a trading journal where you can enter trades and the app would use data to analyze things like max risk, average hold time, etc... The ideas for this one seem to flow a lot easier (maybe too easy), and it is something I could use myself, so it seems like a good fit.

Heatwave Analytics - heatwave [dot] dev -- please excuse lack of link
Would allow you to track user actions (just clicks for the MVP) and see "heat maps" for insights of how users are interacting with your site / app. Yes, this is like other products out there, but it's the execution and not the idea that really matters, right? I could often use something like this for sites and find the existing products to be cumbersome, pricey, or have too many features.

Both of these pages could be improved, so what I'm looking for here is mainly validation and/or marketing plans on the ideas. Feel free to ignore any of the below questions, or throw in any extra thoughts you may have!

The Questions

  1. Initial thoughts on the ideas? Why would (or wouldn't) you use them?
  2. What would you be willing to pay for these apps? If not, why not?
  3. How could I improve the landing pages themselves?
  4. Ideas for validating further and/or growing the list of subscribers?
  5. Which other questions should I be asking? Why?
