I am starting a Real Estate newsletter. This is an aggregate-style newsletter that scrapes information from blogs/APIs around the web and produces a nice digestible email/blog every week. It has been a very fun project, and I've been learning a lot from my own newsletter about Real Estate and the coming trends and market movements.
My problem is that I'm not converting a whole lot of visitors. I have to make more of an effort on the marketing side, but for the amount of people who visit the site, I'm not converting a whole lot. I have about 15 subscribers right now, maybe 8 of which are strangers, and the site has been running for about 1.5 months (5 total editions of the weekly newsletter).
I am trying to keep the landing page simple enough and say: "this is a newsletter for real estate investing, sign up". But I'm not sure If I'm wording things correctly or not. Either way, I'd love for someone more knowledgeable than myself to pick this apart!
Hi Chris !
Some thought about visual part:
You can try something like : http://prntscr.com/pbp0oz for the header.
Best of Luck, Chris !
that looks amazing, thank you! I'll make something similar to that
My pleasure !
Enjoy your weekend :)
First of all, to improve you conversion you should follow the above-the-fold principle. Make the topbar smaller so the subscription is visible when users load the page.
On the other hand, the copy is not clear enough. What does join the community mean? sign up? subscribe to a newsletter? Make it more clear.
Is there any reason you chose the read color for the main action? You should be careful with that. Maybe another color would increase conversion as well like blue or green
The hierarchy of the design and content is perfect IMHO.
Excellent advice thank you! After reading it again, I understand the copy is definitely not clear enough and I should work on that. I also definitely agree on changing the button color.
Thank you!
Your welcome! I hope you improve the product! Once you do the changes, ping me!
