A Vintage Rim Lock That Transformed Our Front Door

Just swapped out our front door lock for a vintage-style rim lock from Infinity Decor. The weight of the brass, the satisfying click—it transforms the whole entrance. Security doesn't have to be ugly. Details matter.

Love the upgrade. I actually went through something similar last year—our front door had this generic modern deadbolt that always felt flimsy, especially in winter when the wood would shrink and the latch barely caught. Swapped it for a brass rim lock and the difference is night and day. The tactile feedback alone makes it feel more secure. Plus, the look actually makes guests pause and compliment it. How was the installation process for you? Did you have to modify the door at all, or was it a straight swap? I had to chisel out a bit of extra space for the lock body on mine, but totally worth it.
