A new pricing

Nice work! Congrats on customer numero uno. That's huge. Now for two through 1,000,000!

    1. 1

Hahaha, thanks! :D Yep, that's the plan :)

    👏👏👏 YAY FIRST CUSTOMER!

Congrats Tyler, and well done :)

The man himself! Thanks Alex :)

    Yeah, shipping is great!

One thing they helped me with a bit was giving me a nudge to just do my emails manually instead of endlessly trying to construct a perfect automated sequence.

I'll still automate them, and the ones I used to ship will be starting point.

    1. 2

Ah, yeah, an automated email sequence is one of those things that can feel like a "must have" but it really isn't, great advice :)

Also, much respect to you on making programming language videos! Originally that's the direction I started going (with videos on TypeScript) but I just couldn't keep my motivation up long enough to produce a whole product. It's a lot harder than it seems, and you seem to have way more grit sticking with it than I did. I wish you much success with your Elixir videos!

Wow! That's freaking awesome! Good job, @tylerchurch!! This is such an inspiration for all of us out there! Thanks for sharing your journey and I'm super excited to see what's coming next!

Hey, thank you so much! :D

I'm excited to see what's coming next too! Might be the beginning of a long slog, we'll see 😛

Good stuff! I love seeing the feedback we give as a community actually being implemented and shaping the products we see here on IH. :) Congrats on your first customer too!

    1. 1

      Thank you so much! :)

  6. 2

    Awesome attitude :)
Best of luck growing your product!

Thank you so much, I appreciate it! :)

Keep up the good work! I really like your follow up post that builds on your previous post.

Initially I was concerned about your new pricing model but I think it makes a lot more sense this way especially for your own cost control.

PS. I may borrow your "indie hack" of thanking individuals in your post as it gets people to read your post from their notifications/email.

    1. 1

Thanks! I'm glad you're liking the posts! It's a new feeling having people actually read the words I write 😛

Yeah, it seems to make more sense from the customer perspective too. A number of people I've talked to have more of a sporadic use-case in mind, so a monthly commitment is a big hurdle for them. I'm hoping prepaid moves Site to Image into the "no brainer" category for them.

I may bring back monthly plans if the future if somebody wants to guarantee dedicated capacity or something, but that's a pipe dream at this point.

P.S. Hahaha, hey so long as we get more genuine gratitude in the world, steal away, man. I've noticed my outlook on life consistently improves the more thankful I am. The notification thing is a nice side-benefit, though. I'm hoping no body perceives it as spammy, because I really am grateful for all the interactions I've had over the last few days. I feel so much less isolated now.
