One Website (NotesRightHere.com), 3 Goals Attained
Goal #1
I used to have an old phone that I could not get Evernote.com or Simplenote.com to work on so I went ahead and created NotesRightHere.com. I wanted the ability to have a very simple note taking app that worked on my old phone and any other internet enabled device.
Goal # 2
I wanted to learn new technologies for creating web sites.
This is the stack NotesRightHere.com was created with:
Ubuntu Linux 18.04 running on Google Cloud Platform.
Nginx web server.
Postgres database server.
Go or Golang programming language.
HTML, CSS, Javascript
Goal #3
I feel like I can now help some of my friends who have come up with ideas for websites themselves.
Nice. Feels good to make something you can use. I built my own note tool years ago too - before evernote :) and I still use it. One thought - not sure if screenshots my be good ... the page tells me about the product, but I can't really see it in action to see if I really want to do it. Might makes sense to have a demo acct that one can login to and play with..

Thanks for taking the time to give me your thoughts on the web site.
My initial idea for having someone see it in action or having a demo account was that they would use the Free Plan option instead of the Paid Plan option. The Free Plan option gives someone the ability to use the majority of the web site functionality without having to pay for it. To use the Free Plan a person only has to enter their email address.
I like your idea of screen shots or a demo video a person could look at to get a feel for the site without having to enter their email address.
