We help online companies grow by funding their digital marketing spend.
Get growth capital based on actual business metrics instead of a credit score.
Would love some feedback from the IH community because this community is part of our target market!
You didn't post a link to your landing page! Perhaps leave a comment with the link in there.
Ahh whoops. Thanks for letting me know. Here it is: https://metcalfe.fund
This is super interesting! Very curious to hear about how this idea works out in the long run.
Aesthetically, the page mostly looks great. Not a fan of the white text on yellow buttons, or the white text on light blue backgrounds, as it's hard to read. Also, while the responsive design is great at small widths, it's too wide at wide widths (I have huge monitor).
In terms of copy, I'd use the words "you" and "your" a bit more. For example, where you say, "We help online companies grow by funding their digital marketing spend," you could say, "Running an online business? We'll fund your digital marketing to help you grow," or something like that. It'll help you connect with the reader a bit more and let them know that this is for them.
Your subtitle could use some work as well. It currently says, "Get growth capital based on actual business metrics instead of a credit score." Is that the most important thing to highlight? I think the most important questions you should answer higher up on the page are…
And then after that, worry about handling objections, or explaining how it works in detail. (Unless of course the primary value proposition in step #2 is that it handles some major objection that alternatives done. Then put that there.)
The "How it Works" section can use a little tweaking as well. Since the bold headlines are steps, I think they should have numbers next to them to make that clearer: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Also, it should make sense just reading the headlines. "We analyze your business" then "Get back to business" was confusing for me, because you skipped the "We give you money" step, which is possibly the most exciting one!
Also, I'd separate the "how it works" steps from points that are just responses to potential objections. For example, how easy it is to use, or the fact that you don't charge interest, aren't really steps in how to use it. They're more like FAQ answers. It's important to have them, but I'd prioritize making your how-to section as brief as possible (just 3 steps?) before going into those details.
Just my 2 cents!
@csallen awesome feedback, thanks a lot!
Your points are valid. I will go over the site and implement your feedback and post back here. I wanted to make sure to say thank you before doing so, in case it takes a couple of days to make these changes.
Another thing that I received feedback about was that the site seemed a very "whimsical" given the nature of the business being "financial and involving money transactions between businesses". Do you feel this way, too? Do you think that a more "business professional" and even "banking" approach would be more suitable?
@csallen implemented most of the changes and agree they help quite a bit. I held off on the color changes because I didn't want to go down the design rabbit hole right now.
