Rate my landing page!
This is my first product in a while (~1 year). It's a platform to create food blogs with only 3 clicks.

Hey @theosz checked it out. Congrats on getting this out.
Looks good!
I'd recommend putting a demo or something that allows users to actually see what their blog would look like.
Happy to provide more feedback or bounce thoughts if you need.
Best of luck

Thanks for the feedback! I'll add a link to an example blog. Shout me an email at theo@brainforce.io if you want to chat!
Congrats on launching and shipping Newcook! I think it’s a really cool idea, and I could see it being useful for a lot of people who want the power of Wordpress without all the difficulty of hosting and site customization.
Here are my thoughts — please take them with a grain of salt, as I’m no landing page expert (though that’s an eventual goal haha).
First Impressions
An online editor specifically designed for recipe creation sounds awesome! But I think you can make your case stronger by including an actual screenshot of the online editor. With a screenshot, your customer will inherently be able to answer the following questions they have when they read your copy: 1. Is this editor more intuitive and specialized than Wordpress’ editor? 2. Does it look like it is specifically catered to me, a cook/food hobbyist? 3. Does it have all the options I’d like it to have (ability to add a header image, customize bullet points, etc.)?
A lot of the copy and subheaders seem generalized. I would recommend getting more specific with the copy to really demonstrate that you understand your audience + their struggles of using alternative blogging tools (“We know Wordpress can take a while to set up…when all you really care about is crafting your recipes”). You could also push your points a bit further — for example, you say “Analytics and reporting tools specifically designed for food blogs.” But what analytics are specifically useful for food blogs? Maybe something like “view how many times a recipe was downloaded or shared”?
General visual pointers:
The hero header (“Start your food blog with only 3 clicks.”) is a bit difficult to read. I would suggest making the background image darker so that the white text and the CTA button really shine through.
I would also reduce the size of the header background image, so that the header is centered on a laptop/desktop screen.
Try to use the same color for all your CTAs (I noticed that “Contact us” in the last panel and footer is a different color than the “Sign up” button and “the 14-day free trial button”).
Good luck, and keep at it!
Hi,
Thanks for your feedback, it's awesome. I applied most of it, let me know what you think!
Thank you again for writing such a detailed feedback!
No problem at all, and thanks for applying the advice! It definitely looks better and more polished than the first version. Great job! I love the editor side-by-side screenshots — they help make the product more “real” and tangible.
Longer Term Feedback (don’t need to apply it right away, but it may help you in the long run):
I still think you can push the copy a bit more — get more detailed and persuasive. Writing good copy is something that I continuously struggle with, but one thing that helps me is brainstorming and stepping away from my product. I usually do the following exercise and type up my responses:
Step into your customers’ shoes. What problems do they have with existing solutions? (You can even ask your customers/people interested in the idea)
Next, transition into what could make their lives easier — do they want a simple, straightforward way to upload their recipes online?
Then specifically introduce how your product does just that (make their lives easier)
Don’t be afraid to get wordy/detailed — in fact, that’s exactly what you’re aiming to do while brainstorming. I’ve done this exercise a few times over, compiled my notes, and touched up the strongest points, some of which my co-founder and I ended up putting on our product’s landing page.
I know sometimes people complain about too much text on a landing page, but I think for SaaS products, good copy can help your selling case significantly because it helps show that you truly understand your customers — specifically, you know their frustrations and desires.
I hope that helps somewhat? Just trying to help because I think you’ve got a cool idea that could help a lot of non-technical people.
Keep it up, and excited to see how things go!
Thank you again for your priceless feedback, I reworked the copy and re-arranged the blocks to build a better story :)
No problem at all -- just happy to help! Yep, it definitely tells more of a story than before. Keep at it, and best of luck with everything!
Awesome niche idea. I think you could do really well with this.
My 2 cents: It's not really clear how this differs from any other blogging platform.
Are there recipe templates? Is there an image archive of common food ingredients? Etc.
Assuming that there are some cooking-specific features / themes, I would put those selling points front-and-center.
I completely agree with these comments. I don't see on your landing page how you are different from just hosting on Wordpress (plus, your price is much steeper).
Looks nice and crisp! Would be great to see examples of blogs though - even if you have to create them yourself initially, just to show off the capabilities of the site.
Congrats on this dude! I really like this idea and think the landing page looks really good! It's nice, simple and bold, and the layout of the page works really well.
As others have mentioned, it might be a good idea having a small example of the templates customers can use, or have a 'View demo template' kind of thing.
Also, a pretty specific and minor issue, it looks like the "share your passion" text overlaps the "Pricing" header on XS viewports like iPhone 5/SE.
Other than that, looks great and congrats on the launch!
I am a bit confused what you are providing.
My first impression is that you will provide the contents and people just need to pay to choose what contents to be displayed and the theme to be used.
looks nice and clean - but i agree with some of the other comments here - i was scrolling back and forth looking for some demo or screenshot of what i'm actually buying for $20/month
