Hey all
Contrary to quite a few people on here, I'm looking to set something up in the travel space.
Last week I posted in one of the Facebook Groups I'm a member, for the type of holidays I'd be looking to offer.
Group size is 1300, which resulted in just 7 responses - thats a 0.5% response rate.
The questionaire was relatively short and well designed, and some of the feedback has been useful but the low response rate is really striking.
Most of the info I read suggests a 10-15% response rate is ideal and for the size of group I targetted I naively expected to net around 100 responses.
How would you proceed from here? Stop or Pivot?
I'm currently planning to post the same questionaire to another group with slightly different demographics to see whether the response rate is the same.
Perhaps from there I can infer that its an issue with the offer, or that the travel space isn't complicated enough for it to be a barrier to people.
Yeah, I'll most likely give it a nudge and find a couple of similar sized groups to see what sort of response rate I get
You might want to post about it again. I find a lot of things get lost and / or missed on facebook; there's just so much content and junk to compete with. I think a friendly reminder wouldn't hurt. As long as it's friendly and not spammy, it should be ok.
If it's any consolation, I also get similar response rates on things I share with my groups, and they're my groups! But, with so much information out there and unpredictable algos it's easy to miss things, so I get better responses with a few reminders.
