Accepting payment as a individual in SaaS app

You can accept SaaS payments in India as an individual without a registered company, but you need a few things in place.

The minimum setup:

• A sole proprietorship (no registration needed, just your PAN and business name)
• A current account at any bank in the business name
• GST registration if your annual revenue crosses Rs 20 lakh, or from day 1 if you sell inter-state or to international customers

What Razorpay and Stripe India actually require:

• Razorpay: PAN + cancelled cheque of current account. GST is not mandatory upfront for domestic-only payments.
• Stripe India: GST certificate + current account. You need GST registered before Stripe will verify you.

When to consider LLP or Pvt Ltd:

• If you want limited liability protection
• If you plan to raise funding (investors expect a Pvt Ltd)
• If your annual turnover crosses Rs 1 crore (audit requirements change, and a company structure is cleaner)

For early-stage SaaS with no external investors, sole proprietor + GST is the fastest and cheapest way to start legally. The upgrade to Pvt Ltd can happen later when it makes sense.

No foreign customer pay you on your personal account. They don't feel safe.

Just use Udyog Aadhaar to register your business in next 10 minutes without any cost.

All you need is your aadhar card number. Then take that registration number to any nationalized bank , they will allow you to open a bank account

Then use the bank account details to register for RazorPay or Stripe.

What if my company don't work
Just close the bank account. That's it.

You can't take international payment using RazorPay or Stripe as a individual.

You need to have either proprietorship or LLP based account.

You can either use paddle or gumroad.
