Accepting payment on behalf of my users

Hi,

I am building a platform where users could monetize their content. The content is structured in different directories and I want the users to be able to monetize each directory separately.

I want to provide my users with the ability to charge their followers an amount defined by them and I am not looking to take a cut out of the amount they receive.

I am not sure what service would allow me to make this possible. It would be great if you can share any approach I could take to accomplish this.

Thanks,

Agree with rfizzy. Stripe connect (https://stripe.com/connect) will allow you to do this and is likely the best/easiest solution to get started on. Braintree Marketplace ( https://www.braintreepayments.com/products/braintree-marketplace ) is probably another option. WePay used to solve this too, but since they were purchased by Chase in 2017, their offering has gotten muddy, so no idea if they still support it.

I'd probably start with Stripe personally.

This is actually one of the primary use cases of Stripe Connect so if you have that available to you, it would be worth looking into.

Like everyone else said, Stripe Connect is the way to go. It makes payments on behalf of your users incredibly easy. And consistent with Stripe's reputation, the docs are amazing.

I use it for eventOne Registration and really have no complaints at all.
