Accountability group for ambitious people

The New Year is coming, this is a perfect time to reflect on where we are in our lives, and decide what changes we need to make to move faster to achieve our goals.

When doing this reflection exercise, I've realised that I'm not moving fast enough. I'm an engineer in a big tech company. In parallel I work on some side projects but I haven't got much success with them yet.

I'm creating a small accountability group for people like me who're creating their own venture but feel they don't move fast enough. We'll have regular calls to set weekly goals, hold each other accountable and discuss the challenges and solutions together. To increase the level of commitment, everyone will have to pay $100 monthly, the last payment is fully refundable in case you don't get enough value.

Do you want to join? If so, please leave a comment or email me.

Interesting read! I had the same idea but with an online group (Slack or Twitter community).

In which each weekend every member posts an accountability recap of past week and sets goals for the new week. To then next week respond to current recap, creating a chain of these updates. But I feel this only works people build relationships so there's genuine interest in each other's development.

My question to you: since I think when done right such an accountability group can help tremendously, how did it in the end work out for you?

Did you feel a sense of community arising in the group? Is it still active? What is your reflection on it now, 8 months later?

Curious to hear your opinion as making something like this work is certainly not a no-brainer!

Tried for a couple of months, but I don't think it worked well for me. I eventually found a partner. We work together on the same project and act as accountability buddies to each other.

        Alright thanks!

Always interesting to hear about the experience and how something turned out in the end.

We’re still in beta, but would love to Double with anyone here to stay accountable!
