Added a waitlist
This week we added a waitlist to our landing page to collect emails from people interested in trying the product.
We've been receiving a steady stream of email addresses all week.
We also received a video roast of the landing page and updated the page accordingly.
Congrats on setting up the waitlist and getting a steady flow of signups! That’s a great milestone. Where did you get the landing page roast? Sounds super useful, and I’d love to check it out for my project. Also, how did you go about collecting those email addresses? Any specific channels that worked well for you?
The roast was from another member of the smallbets.com community and I added Posthog for web analytics yesterday and it appears that since then most traffic has come from this site. Also, a very small number from an X reply.
Hey there! Big congrats on the waitlist progress. I'm really interested in the nitty - gritty. When you were setting up the form to collect email addresses, did you use a specific tool? And how did you design it to make it look so inviting?
I am a developer so I built it myself. The site is Ruby on Rails and I used Tailwind for styling. I did take a lot of the styled components from https://www.landingfolio.com/ and used GitHub Copilot to stitch it all together a bit faster.
