Adding Contact Number - Website

Hello IH Community.

Our new website is going to launch soon. It's been well over a year or prob. even longer... but we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

One thing I need to solve is to have a contact number for the site as well as our GMB. People want to call us.

However, I don't want to use my mobile. I also don't want to deal with tire kickers. So thinking of a call answering service or something else... like live chat.

We run a branding agency... so the enquires are new business related.

Does anyone have any thoughts or can share their experiences?

Thanks and look forward to your feedback.

I had a similar situation and ended up using a cloud call center to manage inbound calls without needing to use my personal number. It gave me a business number, voicemail, call recording, and even routing options. Super helpful for keeping things separate and feeling more legit without hiring anyone. You can manage calls from web or phone, so it's pretty handy even if you're small.

Get VoIP phone number in the region most customers live in (perfectly toll free). This way you won't have to put your personal mobile. Having a phone number on your website inspires the confidence.

Livechat is also a good tool to be in touch but make sure it won't popup in the middle of visitors journey. As your project grows you'll need dedicated support team and filter tire kickers to find a good team :)

Bottomline. It's good to have multiple communication channels since each of your customer prefers something different.

We used to have a VOIP set up. But then someone needs to still answer the phone within our business. Which is difficult as we're a distributed team. I'm really thinking we'll need someone else to take our calls.

I thought you are asking on how to protect personal phone number from being exposed to the public. Part time phone assistant and the knowledge base should do the trick.
