Ads v Donations v Subscription v One-Time-Fee?

I know this question is very context dependent but would love some guidance on what the right monetization strategy should be for my app.

https://pichance.com/

Have gotten 100+ upvotes on Product Hunt and some decent traffic (for now). I don't know if the product right now is 'enough' for people to pay so was leaning towards ads but I hate ads. Obviously would prefer something recurring to a one time fee as well.

Thanks!

Nobody likes ads. I would try making a limited free version (upload single pictures, wait x seconds between uploads, maximum file size, ...) and a paid version (batch upload, smaller wait time, bigger file size). The question really is, if people use your site to quickly upscale a picture for private use or if photographers would want to batch upload many photos. If so, a free and paid subscription model would be fitting I think. Find out who your audience is.
I'd recommend adding drag and drop to the upload. Otherwise, the site looks pretty good to me.

Yeah that's a good way to look at it. Thanks!

Site looks really nice, I love tinypng and your service is quite similar except in the other direction.

One note: the service links on the bottom are broken (logged out state)

For monetization, add a watermark with a link to your site to the free image. People get to see the quality and instantly notice if it's worth paying for. If they share as is it's an ad for your service, otherwise they pay. Regarding payment, I would sell credits instead of monthly subscription / one time.

    Nice service!

      Thanks for that! I'll fix.
We give 3 freebies before they have to upgrade to a paid plan which is how we are trying to incentivize.
We've thought about different monetization models and maybe thats worth changing but for now hoping a simple unlimited plan works
