AdShot — Paste any URL, get ad creatives for 13 platforms in 30 seconds

Hey IH! I've been lurking and commenting here for a bit, and figured it's time to share what I've been building.

The problem: Every founder and small business owner knows they should be running ads. But creating ad creatives is painful — you need design skills, knowledge of each platform's specs, and hours of time you don't have. Most people either hire expensive agencies, use generic templates, or just... don't run ads at all.

What AdShot does: You paste any URL (your landing page, product page, Shopify store, whatever), and AdShot analyzes your brand, extracts visuals and copy, then generates ready-to-post ad creatives for 13 platforms — Facebook, Instagram, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, and more. The whole process takes about 30 seconds.

The tech behind it: We're using Claude (Anthropic's API) for intelligent copy generation and brand analysis, FLUX/fal.ai for image generation when needed, built on Next.js 15 with Supabase and Stripe. The AI doesn't just slap your logo on a template — it actually understands your brand voice, value propositions, and target audience from your URL, then crafts platform-specific creatives that follow each platform's best practices.

How we got here: I started this because I was spending 3-4 hours every week making ad variations for a previous project. I thought "what if I could just paste my URL and get everything?" Turns out a lot of other founders have the same frustration. The first version was embarrassingly simple — just a form that generated one Facebook ad. Now it handles 13 platforms with multiple creative formats (carousels, static images, stories, etc.).

Where we are now: Still early. Free tier available at adshot.co. Working on getting the first batch of paying users and iterating based on feedback. The biggest lesson so far has been that people don't want "an AI ad tool" — they want their ads done. So we're focused on making the output as close to "download and post" as possible.

What I'd love from this community: Honest feedback on the product (try it with your own URL!), how you currently handle ad creative and what the biggest pain point is, and whether anyone else is building in the AI creative space — would love to connect.

Thanks for reading. Happy to answer any questions about the tech, the business model, or the journey so far.
