Advertising on LinkedIn is costlier, do you think this is true?

I have been speaking to a few of my connections on LinkedIn and they praised what LinkedIn meant to them in terms of building connections and generating organic leads through outbound prospecting.

But they looked hesitant when asked to start LinkedIn ads for lead generation. They look it as a costlier channel for advertising.
