After building Stride and gaining some early users, I'm considering selling.
It's pre-revenue as the focus has been on building out the app and getting early user feedback.
I'm curious as to the best approach here given the pre-rev status. Has anyone else done something similar and how did you go about it?

thanks for sharing.
SEO is important for this. Testimonials work great. What safety procedures have you considered for the users? Id love to know the details.
Hi there,
Congrats on building Stride and getting early users on board—no small feat! Selling a pre-revenue app can be challenging but definitely doable, especially if you've got strong user engagement and a clear vision for future growth.
One approach could be to highlight the app's potential rather than just its current state. Focus on the user feedback you've gathered, as this can be invaluable for a buyer who wants to hit the ground running. If your early users are engaged and there's a clear pathway to monetization, that could be a strong selling point.
I haven't personally sold a pre-rev app, but I've seen others emphasize the groundwork they've laid—things like tech stack, user acquisition strategies, and market positioning. It might also be worth exploring potential partnerships or buyers within your network who already understand the space.
Best of luck with whatever path you choose, and if you have any more specific questions, feel free to ask!
Thanks.
I've sold a couple of sites that were were set up to make passive income but hadn't started to generate revenue yet.
What I found to work the best was to focus on backlinks and SEO to improve the domain score and make it more interesting to potential buyers. They wouldn't need to spend as much time on those things after buying the site and could get straight down to promoting the idea with ads or social media marketing.
Once I learned people were more interested in these passive income sites when the domain had a good score, but still pre-revenue, it's what prompted me to start my digital marketing subscription business.
