Hi everyone!
I've been working on a side project for people who love email and like to use email to get organized (www.mydaily.email)
I've reached MVP stage and opened registrations in order to get feedback and to better guide product development.
Any tips on the best method/channels to inspire people to try a new service for free?
thanks in advance
Hey, There are many subreddits where you can post your product and get feedback from beta users or testers.
Some of them are:
There can be some more sub-reddits.
thanks!
Thanks a lot: this is really helpful :)
The best way to find beta testers is probably to reach out to every single person that you think might like the product.
How do you find plenty of such people? Find similar products and browse their users/fans. For example, the folks over at basecamp are building hey.com (you probably know). Go look through the people who liked the tweets about hey.com from DHH or Jason Fried.
I think those are more than enough (probably in the thousands). So even if you get only a very tiny percentage engaged with your product, that should be still plenty!
I'm interested in Hey myself! :) I feel some resistance to cold-contact people like that, but I'll give it a try ;)
Your advice was pure fire. If it was a fire mage in World of Warcraft it would be Level 120 with both Mechagon Bracers.
