For the past few months, I have been working on a business idea for an online to offline marketplace similar to Carousell (mostly targeting developing countries) and registered a US based company with Stripe Atlas (I still have all the perks such as 10,000 credit of DigitalOcean credits). I have hit a roadblock and I feel I can't continue working on the project due to financial challenges brought about by the COVI19 pandemic. What's the best way to sell my idea including domain name, US registered company and my business plan so that I can realize something to get me started again?
I remember reading somewhere that "ideas/companies are bought not sold"... essentially, you will sell only when someone wants to buy and buyers are in control.
Generally nobody wants to buy something unless it has value, so a brutally honest question to ask is this: if this thing has no value to me, why would it have value to anyone else?
You may be able to get some money selling the domain, but the idea, business plan and company are worthless until they have been proven!
COVID19 has screwed up a lot of things but I encourage you to see if you can tweak your idea for the new world rather than dump it on someone else. Sometimes a small twist makes a big difference, so think it through and try again!
Good question. I think that depends on the product.
Can you show us what you have so far? Website? Is it a physical product?
