Advisors needed

I am looking to form an advisory board for my startup Synerge (https://www.synerge.io) which is a freelancing platform that connects startups with expert freelancers. Can anyone guide me how to contact potential advisors and how to compensate them?
The best advisors are ones that know you and something about the business / industry you are entering so I would look into your network first. Or ask for a warm intro to someone you think would be helpful. Depends on how much time and help you are asking for. If you think they will spend > hour with you and introduce you to investors, they will probably ask for some equity.
