Affiliate marketing is too hard to set up
Well, at least for me. I get the idea of affiliate marketing, but figuring out how to get it to work seems to be left to coders. I'm not a coder. Everything I do is in Wordpress and Woocommerce. There's another post in this group that refers to refmonkey and I looked at the page and I see nothing about WP, just API stuff, and it was beyond me.
I've looked at the WP plugins directory and searched for "affiliates" but again a lot of it is kind of beyond my technical skill. Does anyone here have experience or recommendations on how to set up an affiliate system for WP + Woocommerce?

Are you the merchant and trying to get people to sell for you and pay them a commission? Or are you trying to make affiliate income?
I run a specialized multi-vendor marketplace (but I also have a store there as well selling products). I would like to be able to offer merchants the ability to make affiliate income for their own stores on my marketplace. They win, because it grows their income and market. I win, because it draws more potential customers and vendors to my marketplace.
So do you own their stores and control them indirectly by hosting them? I can see where this could be difficult to implement if you have a bunch of different stores.
You might try contacting some sales teams at the companies that run WooCommerce affiliate plugins and have a conversation with them to see if it will work with what you're trying to accomplish.
Tapfiliate, OSI Affiliate, and Referral Candy all seem to have WooCommerce plugins for their white label affiliate programs.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "own their stores", my answer would be no if I understand you correctly. They're paying to have a store on my marketplace. Just like if your company website was hosted on Wix, would Wix own your company? Maybe I'm reading it wrong.
That is a good idea and thank you for pointing out some potential plugins. I kind of know what I want in a general sense but when it comes to the complexities, I just want it to work with a minimum of fuss and a good support plan.
Own wasn't the right word, more like have the ability to install software on their stores to track sales.
Most affiliate software works by tracking an inbound link through a shopping cart all the way through to the sale then compensating the owner of the link. It seems like this could be used in your context as well, since I assume each "store" has a shopping cart.
You may run into issues with pricing though, since each store now needs a separate affiliate program. You'll have to shop around.
I definitely recommend setting up phone calls with each sales team, they can probably explain things a lot better than I can.

Not really, it is as easy as baking a cupcake! All you have to do is create a blog, review amazon products, create amazon ID and use that in products' links.
